I don’t buy the plight of the rebellious rebels of Rogue One, a gang so clean and Disneyfied they could Chim-Chiminey their way into a rooftop tap-dance and come out more morally suspicious. Rarely has a line rung less true than when rebellious rebel ‘Cassian’ claims he too has done “terrible things” in the name of the Rebellion. Not that his fellow rebels rebel credentials are any stronger.
Justifies its existence with a Darth-Vader-meets-John-Wick corridor finale that leaves you wondering. Why can’t the rest of Star Wars be that good.
